Play bridge and explore on this fabulous cruise, enjoying exclusive use of the 4-star Q Nile Cruise Ship as it sails from Cairo to Aswan. Highlights of this fascinating journey of discovery include Beni Suef, Sohag, Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu and Abu Simbel. We also spend a day in Cairo, enjoying lunch overlooking the Pyramids and visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to an outstanding collection of ancient Egyptian treasures. Your Bridge Programme
Play & Explore holidays are suited to intermediate players who wish to learn new skills, and regular players looking for a relaxed holiday with bridge.
Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, our host will aim to include interactive bridge seminars.
Your duplicate bridge will be available on some evenings, and we endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and playing relaxed and friendly bridge.
Bridge will also be offered on some mornings or afternoons, and these sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.

Enjoy a varied bridge programme throughout the cruise. When you are not in the bridge room, make the most of the fabulous facilities on board our exclusive cruise ship.
Relax on the sundeck and watch the world go by as we make our way from Cairo to Aswan. Head to the reading lounge, which features works by Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz. The ship offers Yoga sessions too or you can take advantage of the wellness and beauty centre, as well as the outdoor swimming pool on the sundeck.
First for Bridge have exclusive use of the Nile Cruise ship for the entire duration of the cruise. Lunch and evening meals on board will vary each day and may include Moroccan inspired dishes, Indian food, Italian food, BBQ’S and Egyptian meals. On some evenings, there will also be evening entertainment including a folklore party, belly dancing and an Egyptian-themed evening.
This fantastic cruise also includes all shore excursions so you can experience as much or as little as you like. Highlights include a visit to Ben Hassan tomb to see Tomb of Baqet III, Tomb of Khety, Tomb of Amenemhet, Tomb of Khnumhotep II. We also visit Luxor and the West Bank to see the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Luxor Temple. Other highlights include Karnak Temple, Edfu, Kom Ombo Temple, Aswan, Abu Simbel and more.

With our flight-inclusive package, we transfer to Aswan Airport and board our flight to Cairo.
If you have booked our join direct package, we include your transfer to Aswan Airport. You will need to book your own internal flight from Aswan to Cairo.
Upon arrival in Cairo, we meet our local guide and transfer to the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, along with the iconic Great Sphinx, one of Egypt’s most famous monuments.
Enjoy an included lunch at a restaurant overlooking the pyramids.
Afterwards, we visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to an outstanding collection of ancient Egyptian treasures, including royal statues and artifacts from across Egypt’s history. Transfer to our hotel in Cairo and check in for an overnight stay.

You will stay for eleven nights on board the Q Nile cruise ship and one night at the Baron Hotel in Cairo.
Please Note: There is no lift on the cruise ship, and guests must be able to navigate the steps between each deck.

The 4-star Baron Hotel is situated in Heliopolis, opposite the Baron Empain Palace and is approximately 10 miles from the centre of Cairo. The hotel has an elegant restaurant, a bar, café and a spa area with plunge pool and gym. Bedrooms are spacious and have air-conditioning, satellite TV, minibar and ensuite bathroom.

Q Nile Cruise Ship
This 4-star floating resort sails along the peaceful Cairo to Luxor stretch of the river Nile. Facilities on board include the Sun & Spice restaurant serving an a la carte menu and the Cuisine Voyage restaurant which offers a daily buffet. There’s a reading lounge, on-demand yoga sessions, a full wellness area with an in-house fitness coach and a beauty centre. There are relaxation lounges, a swimming pool, and spacious outdoor areas where you can watch the world go by. Each evening meal is a themed evening with changing décor and staff attire inspired by the cuisine of the night.
Standard cabins on the Nile Deck and Main Deck are 12m squared and are cosy with a comfortable bed, a private bathroom, air-conditioning, a mini-bar, tea & coffee making facilities, TV, and hairdryer. These cabins also have a panoramic window with a seated area, meaning you can sit back and enjoy your coffee whilst watching the Nile drift by for a truly relaxed experience.
The Luxury Suites are spacious at 24m squared and elegant in design. They feature a wide bed, a chaise longue, and large windows with panoramic views of the Nile. Each suite has a stylish living area, a private bathroom with shower and bathtub, a walk-in wardrobe, a fully equipped coffee corner, a mini bar, a TV, and two elevated chairs overlooking the Nile, a perfect spot to enjoy sunset views.
The Launch Bar area will be used exclusively for First for Bridge for our bridge games and seminars. It’s an elegant area, spanning 450 square metres and offers panoramic views of the Nile. There’s comfortable seating and a fine selection of drinks available.
The Sun & Spice restaurant offers delicious cuisine al fresco with panoramic views of the Nile whilst the Cuisine Voyage restaurant offers a diverse buffet served indoors.
The sundeck offers a swimming pool and relaxation areas with sun loungers, whilst offering a breathtaking view. The onboard fitness trainer offers gentle morning exercise before breakfast to help energise you for the day!
The Desert Rose Spa & Hammam is a serene wellness sanctuary featuring a beauty salon, fully equipped gym, and an authentic Moroccan Hammam.
