Holiday Overview
Join us at the 4-star Meliá Costa del Sol for an overseas Christmas and New Year bridge holiday. Our beautiful hotel occupies a wonderful position overlooking Bajondillo Beach in Torremolinos and features a rooftop terrace with fantastic views over the Mediterranean Sea. Torremolinos itself is just 500 metres from the hotel and can be easily reached via the elevator next to the property (available for a small extra cost). This Spanish paradise is dotted with beautiful beaches, tapas bars, and botanical gardens – perfect to explore during your free time.
Also nearby is Puerto Marina, considered one of the world’s top marinas thanks to its many restaurants, shops, attractions, and vibrant nightlife. Officially opened in 1979 under the name “Port au Prince,” it was renamed Puerto Marina Benalmádena in 1982. Known for its unique architecture and design, the marina can accommodate more than 1,000 boats and yachts.
We also include a full-day excursion to the beautiful historic town of Ronda, where you’ll visit a winery for a guided tour and a tasting of three selected wines, each paired with traditional Spanish tapas. If you’re feeling adventurous, you may like to visit Mijas, a charming hilltop village on the Costa del Sol with stunning views of the Mediterranean. Wander its narrow streets, admire the whitewashed houses and flower-filled squares, and enjoy browsing the local shops and viewpoints.

Your Bridge Programme
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:30pm and 10:30pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.
Bridge will also be offered some mornings or afternoons. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
We also try to include interesting bridge seminars as part of your programme, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.
During your holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programme also allows time to relax, giving you the opportunity to explore the surrounding area.
With our flight-inclusive package, today you will board your flight from London Stansted to Malaga. From here, you will be transferred to the 4-star Meliá Costa del Sol in Torremolinos.

This full‑day excursion takes you to the beautiful historic town of Ronda, one of the most spectacular destinations in Andalusia. The day includes a visit to a local winery, where you will enjoy a guided tour followed by a tasting of three selected wines, each paired with traditional Spanish tapas.
After the winery visit, you will head to Ronda for a walking tour through the historic centre, where you will discover its main landmarks, charming streets, and breathtaking viewpoints over the famous El Tajo gorge.
You will also have free time to explore the town at your own pace, enjoy lunch, shop for local products, or relax on a terrace before returning to the hotel.
After dinner, bridge is played this evening.
