Experience two Canary Islands in one fantastic, winter sun holiday, enjoying a varied programme of bridge and free time to explore.
First, we stay in beautiful Gran Canaria, an island of contrasts home to sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs, volcanic mountains and traditional towns, lush greenery and year-round sunshine! We stay at the fabulous Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso & Hotel, which boasts amazing ocean views from every bedroom and its public rooms and terraces. Here, you can lounge in the infinity pool dramatically overlooking the ocean, or treat yourself to a day in the Thalasso pool with its 29 hydromassage stations, jets and waterfalls, and enjoy one of the best spas on the island. The location of the hotel is ideal, as its panoramic lift takes you directly on to the seafront promenade. From here, you can walk into peaceful Amadores and enjoy its fine sandy beach and crystal-clear waters, or into vibrant Puerto Rico with its excellent shopping centre, marina, and abundance of bars and cafés along the beachfront.
We fly you from Gran Canaria to Tenerife and transfer to Los Cristianos, on the sunny south side of the island of Tenerife. The 4-star Paradise Park Hotel is beautifully set around palm-fringed pools and gardens, boasting no less than 5 swimming pools. Enjoy fabulous panoramic views of the coastline and Mount Teide from the adult-only rooftop pool, with its Jacuzzis and spacious sunbathing area. The hotel spa is very highly rated and offers a range of massages and treatments, sauna, steam room and Turkish bath (extra charges apply).
Although the hotel is positioned on a small hill, a regular, complimentary shuttle bus runs to the beach and resort centre, which is 1.2km away, and there is a shopping centre and wide choice of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The hotel itself is also compact and very easy to navigate, as all our bedrooms, the bridge room, restaurant, and main bars are within the same block and accessible by lifts.

Your Bridge Programme
Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, we try to include interesting bridge seminars, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.
Bridge will also be offered some mornings or afternoons. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.
Fly from the UK to Gran Canaria Airport and transfer to the Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso & Spa.
Relax and play bridge in the fabulous Gloria Palace Amadores, Thalasso & Spa. From your hotel, take the panoramic lift to the seafront promenade where a 5-minute level walk takes you into Puerto Rico. Here, you will find an excellent shopping centre, and the seafront abundant with cafés, bars and tourist facilities, overlooking its sandy beach. Walk in the opposite direction along the promenade and you will find peaceful Amadores with its relaxing beach of white sand and crystal waters.
Not to be missed is a visit to nearby Mogan – the little Venice of Gran Canaria, beautifully located on a network of canals, and pretty houses awash with flowers of every colour. Take the hourly boat from Puerto Rico to Mogan and enjoy the stunning scenery along the coastline – better still go on a Friday and shop for local crafts and souvenirs in the fabulous weekly market.
We transfer to Gran Canaria Airport for our interisland flight to Tenerife and transfer to the Hotel Paradise Park.
Relax and enjoy your bridge sessions, the superb amenities on offer at your hotel, and the extensive tourist facilities nearby. Los Cristianos is an attractive resort, with a lively marina and shore-front restaurants. Not to be missed is the local market which takes place every Tuesday and Sunday morning behind Los Tarajales Beach.
The long, level seafront promenade will take you into neighbouring Playa de las Americas for some more serious shopping. The nearby bus station gives you the opportunity to travel all over Tenerife and explore the different scenery from the dark, volcanic south to the lush green scenery and botanic gardens in the north.
After breakfast, depart the hotel and transfer to Tenerife South Airport for your return flight to the UK.

The Paradise Park Hotel is well located in Los Cristianos, close to many shops, restaurants, and tourist facilities. The hotel is on a small hill with panoramic views of the coastline and Mount Teide. It is a 15-minute walk to Playa de las Vistas Beach, but the hotel runs a very regular shuttle bus that will save you the leg work! The hotel is beautifully set in huge gardens, with roof top terraces, amongst 5 swimming pools and 4 Jacuzzis. Step inside the hotel and you will find an attractive atrium abundant with plants and flowers, and there is a fabulous roof top bar and restaurant and sunbathing area.
