Bridge in Malta & Gozo with Gary and Lesley Conrad
Bridge in Malta & Gozo with Gary and Lesley ConradPosted by Madeleine at First for BridgeTuesday 24th February 2026
Recently, EBU-qualified director Gary Conrad ledour Bridge in Malta & Gozo holiday. Alongside a full bridge programme, the tour included carefully chosen excursions that offered a real sense of place, as well as plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy good company. Here’s what Gary had to say about the experience:
“Both included excursions proved to be real highlights of the holiday. The tour to Rabat, Dingli and Mdina took in a fascinating mix of history and scenery, with each location offering something different and interesting. The combination of characterful towns and striking landscapes made for a thoroughly enjoyable day out. Guests on a guided tour

The trip to Gozo was equally impressive and felt like a real treat for guests. As well as exploring the island, the excursion included a relaxed sit-down lunch with wine, giving everyone time to unwind, chat and enjoy the local atmosphere together.

Back at the bridge table, the playing conditions were excellent. The dedicated bridge room was on floor -1, away from the main crowds and any background noise, which made a real difference. It was quiet, spacious and very well lit, with a large screen and projector that worked perfectly for displaying results, seminars and general updates. Guests in the bridge room
We also had our own private self-service area in the foyer, with complimentary coffee, tea, soft drinks, wine and beer. Having this private space meant everyone could focus on the game, and the guests themselves were a great crowd – we all had a lot of fun throughout the week."
